With how much bluster he still has about not being in the human world often, the point of doing such a thing or learning how does not fall among things that Hiei finds sensible.
Still.. if Kurama insisted, he would (probably) begrudgingly learn to do the chore for them both. After all, even Hiei can appreciate the benefits of a bed with nice, fresh sheets on it. Kurama is spoiling him for living in the wild ever again.
"You've lived long enough to see a lot of improbable things. What's one more?" Because Hiei does, still, fully expect that Kurama will accompany him for a few more hundred years despite what the fox has said that may bring that belief in to question.
