“Mn.” Hiei agrees easily enough that Kazuma Junior is much like his father. As much as Hiei complained and told Kazuma Senior that he had no right to leave him with so many beings to be responsible for in their last few conversations… Hiei was not a completely callous demon. As much as he liked to project such a thing, these days that idea here in the human world was a foregone conclusion. In the demon world.. well. Hiei was known to kill anyone that brought him tear gems as gifts, and though thankfully no one had even tried to riddle that one out, his ability for a decisive kill without warning was enough.

“It will be to his advantage if he decides to come to demon world at some point.” That and the knowledge of his powerful connections, his father the former King of Demon World along with those closest to him. As much as Hiei rolls his eyes and offers token complaint.. he appreciates his nephew’s tenacity. Recognizes himself in it, even, a little bit.

Kurama continues and Hiei has it within him to huff a laugh. A little bark more than anything else, slight disbelief at the redhead making this attempt at being direct and sincere. How many times before could they have genuinely used something like this? Before this had become the twisted mess that it had become.

“Giving the illusion of choice is not asking directly.” He knows you, Kurama. Even if this is his call, and he says he wants him to go, he knows better than to think that the redhead will actually be going anywhere.

“You only do what you intend or want to do.” A dismissive flick of a clawed hand follows.
